I started my entrepreneurial journey with no connections. No mentors. No business owners in the family. Not one millionaire acquaintance.

The greatest advantage rich kids have is not their parents' money. They meet rich people. They get in rooms with them. They get used to success being around them. They get used to seeing wealth. It becomes the standard. It is all around them. The greatest predictor of future financial success is the zip code in which someone was born.

As I grew in my entrepreneurial journey, I realized I could grow faster. I could grow my skills faster. I could grow the business faster. I could avoid mistakes. I could use the best practices of others to elevate my success. How? I paid to join a room of like-minded entrepreneurs. They were trying to improve themselves.

I joined masterminds. I paid for courses. I attended conferences. I began to realize there was a pattern to success. I tried to take 1-2 gold nuggets from each event. I waited hours to hear the one change I needed to make in my business. That key would unlock massive opportunities and growth. I worked hard to implement that one thing in my business. Then, I returned for more wisdom.

If you are like me and didn't come from a family where success was all around you, I encourage you to take this path. Get out of your own bubble. Your own business. Your own problems. Get clarity on what your business can become if you break your limiting beliefs.

For the past six years, I have hosted an annual event, Blue Collar Summit. The event is for blue-collar home service business owners. The goal is to consolidate the best parts of what I have learned each year. I give those learnings in digestible frameworks or keynotes.
