Business Breakup! $800K Lawn Care Company
I thought for sure this partnership would have drama!
I mean don’t all partnerships end badly??
The owners are working 60+ hours, they fired an office person prematurely, and they are constantly unsure of who should be doing what.
I travelled to Massachusetts to Simply Lawn Care.
Brandon and Scott have grown the business to $800K in just a few years.
In this video, we discuss what is required to take the business past $1M. They must create defined roles and responsibilities for themselves as managers. Management can be categorized into Sales, Admin, and Operations. Scott and Brandon need to figure out who is going to fulfill each function of management… otherwise it could lead to burnout and tense relations.
Turns out I was wrong. Scott and Brandon have an amazing dynamic of trust in their partnership. They have implemented Pay-for-Performance and have an awesome team in the field! If they can make a few organizational changes I know they will be able to grow the business and make it super successful!
PS - If you want to meet Scott and Brandon (and 400 other landscape business owners) make sure to sign up for Landscape Summit… coming up in 2 weeks!
PSS - If you want to use the same CRM as Simply Lawn Care, check out CopilotCRM.com… I built it. For now, I recommend it for companies doing over $200K and under $2M.
Sincerely,
Mike Andes
