This Is Costing You $700 On Every Job!

30-60% of prospects decline our estimates.

Less than 5% of those who declined estimates tell us why.

Was it the price? Was it scheduling? Was it something else?

Seems like a good idea to know this.

If someone says no due to price, you can offer a one-time discount to fill the schedule.

If it is scheduling, well, I can change that!

Let's do some math.

Let's assume you drive 30 minutes to visit the customer.

You walk on their property for another 30 minutes.

You drive back to the office.

You take one hour to call local suppliers and get prices for materials.

You spend an hour drawing up a design and putting together the pricing.

You have spent 3.5 hours on that job so far.

Then, the customer declines the estimate. Assume you charge customers $100/hr for your services. Getting that estimate delivered has cost you $350 in lost revenue. You get nothing in return. Assume you have a close ratio of 50%. Every won job is costing you $700 in time and lost estimator energy.

We don't call the customer. We don't text them. We don't ask them, "Why did you not accept?"

Somehow, this has become normal in our industry.

I want you to close more of these deals. So at Copilot CRM, we are redesigning our Customer Portal. We began by redesigning the estimates that customers view. It is now available! If customers decline an estimate, they now have to choose a reason why.

This gives you useful feedback. It lets you reach out and try again to close the deal.
