👉 Want to Sell Your Business? Read This.

Today, I spoke with a $1.8M construction and remodeling business owner.
They wanted to sell their company in 3 years.

Here’s the problem: 99% of their revenue came from one-time, custom jobs.
Every project was unique. Every sale depended on their personal skill and experience.

That’s not a sellable asset.

Why?

  • No recurring revenue.

  • High skill required to sell and deliver.

My advice: package your pricing, simplify your services, and create recurring subscriptions.

Create a $99 per month membership.
Give a discount to your one-time jobs if they sign up.
Find subcontractors for the big, custom jobs.

Most people know recurring revenue increases business value.
But why simplify services and sub out the complex work?

Because it widens the buyer pool.

Right now, their business could only be run by someone local with 10+ years of construction experience.

Simplify, and suddenly any investor in the country could buy it... a dentist, chiropractor, or doctor looking to put money to work.

The buyer pool goes up 1000X.

More buyers = more demand.
More demand = higher price.

Simplifying your services and creating recurring revenue doesn’t make you “less smart.”

It makes your business a sellable asset—one that produces income whether you land a new sale today or not.
